Since 2022 I lead the Creative team across APAC for The Coca - Cola Company.
Working on several brands for the portfolio from packaging briefs, Art directing photoshoots, brand activations and Olympic limited editions.
Celebrating Olympic Wins: Coca-Cola’s Limited-Edition Packaging
As part of Coca-Cola’s ongoing partnership with the Olympics, the brand sought to create a limited-edition packaging design that would celebrate the winning moments of signed athletes.
The goal was to generate excitement among consumers, amplify social buzz, and create an exclusive offering that captured the spirit of the Olympic Games.
The Task
To design six sleek, limited-edition cans featuring Chinese Olympic athletes across various sports, capturing their passion, energy, and signature moves in a way that resonates with consumers and celebrates the Olympic spirit.
Research and Inspiration
We began by analyzing how other Olympic-themed packaging designs successfully captured excitement and national pride. This helped us identify opportunities to maximize the emotional connection and visual impact of the Coca-Cola cans.
We focused on the athletes’ signature moves—the defining moments of their sports performances—as the central theme. These moments not only embody the dynamism of the Olympic Games but also highlight the athletes’ individuality and achievements.
The Approach
To bring the concept to life, we collaborated with a renowned illustrator known for their energetic and fluid style. The illustrator’s dynamic approach perfectly captured the speed, movement, and iconicity of each athlete’s performance.
The illustrations were designed to evoke a sense of motion and excitement, showcasing the athletes in the heat of their action—whether it was a perfect sprint start, a synchronized dive, or a powerful ping-pong serve.
